Wolves In The City

From Wolves In The City - the Black gay podcast with Lee Gray & DJ Jay Jay Revlon.
This week the Wolves are getting into grief, interracial relationships, and a Bolt ride that went completely left.
Lee opens up about the year that finally let life get to him, and the thing he never saw coming: grief. He and Jay Jay talk about grieving the life you thought you'd have, friendships that end even when they shouldn't, and losing a close friend far too young - and why saying it out loud beats carrying it quietly.
Right Here Right Now becomes the first of the Interracial Diaries. A viral clip of a white man describing how his Black wife "won over" his family sets off a candid conversation about meeting the parents across racial lines: the microaggressions, the "who's the boy, who's the girl?" questions, a family-barbecue nap that started World War III, and why disrespecting the food gets you outta here.
Then a first for the AITA test: Jay Jay is the one on trial. After a gig, a changed drop-off in a Bolt ended with the driver locking JJ and his friend in the car and calling the police - and, Jay Jay says, lying about what happened. JJ admits he might have made it worse. Was he justified, or did he do too much?
Times are approximate, within about half a minute.
"It's either going to be me or you and it's never going to be me."
Jay Jay, after the Bolt ride
"Reach out and touch somebody." - "Ask for consent. Permission is key."
